We are looking forward to welcoming Dr Ian Newington, Head of Special Projects, NIHR to Newcastle on 3rd March 2020. Ian will be giving a briefing on the Invention for Innovation (i4i) programme and the SBRI Healthcare Competition. There will also be the opportunity to meet with Ian and discuss future i4i funding applications.

Invention for Innovation

The aim of the Invention for Innovation (i4i) programme is to de-risk early stage projects that have a strong potential for commercialisation and acceptance for use in the NHS, making them attractive to follow-on funders and investors.

i4i funds collaborative research projects that have demonstrated proof-of-principle and have a clear pathway towards adoption and commercialisation.

SBRI Healthcare

SBRI Healthcare is an NHS England & NHS Improvement initiative, supported by the Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) and managed by LGC Group. We aim to promote UK economic growth whilst addressing unmet health needs and enhancing the take up of known best practice.
