Applications to the Joint Research Executive Scientific Committee for funding by Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Charity

The Joint Research Executive Scientific Committee (JRESC) represents the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NuTH) and Newcastle University. The JRESC considers grant applications to the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Charity annually. This scheme was previously known as the “Special Trustees”.

The closing date for this year’s round is Monday 14 September 2020 at 17:00 with the call opening from Monday 29 June 2020.

The Charity funds research that is relevant to patients in NuTH and their families.

The Committee strongly favours applications that seek to collect data to “pump-prime” subsequent grant or fellowship applications to national or international funding bodies, and/or that enhance and support the careers of junior researchers.
