A team composed of five NHS Trusts, including Newcastle, has won the Health Data Research UK Team of the Year award for a Sprint Exemplar Project in Rare Diseases.
The Newcastle Joint Research Office (NJRO) has been involved in the conception of a UK-wide database to provide rapid reporting on the incidence of hyper-inflammation in COVID-19 and the association with adverse outcome and potential to be modulated by intervention with biologic therapy. The database provides a rapid means of collating information from multiple sites.
As of July 2019 the NIHR BioResource Centre Newcastle will be the first project sponsored by Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals to begin using electronic consent (e-Consent) to sign up volunteers.
The new NJRO website has launched! We hope you find this new site easy to navigate and full of useful information.
We are working hard on getting all parts of the website up and running, so please be patient.
The implementation has initially focused on the Q-Pulse Document Module being rolled out on a team by team basis throughout the NJRO. This involved scoping departmental requirements and configuring the system to the needs of the NJRO Staff. Face to Face training was supplemented by e-learning through Ideagen’s Academy software training centre, tailored to individuals specific needs.
