The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Research Support Service (RSS) are hosting an ‘Essential Guide to Grant Applications’ masterclass open to anyone thinking of applying for an applied health or social care research award from the NIHR or other competitive peer reviewed funding programmes.
This online zoom session will run at the following dates and times:
- Tuesday 1st April: 09:30-16:00
- Wednesday 2nd April: 09:30-16:00
- Thursday 3rd April: 09:30-16:30
This masterclass will focus on how you can sell your research idea by:
- Understand what reviewers are looking for
- Make your application clear and compelling
- Develop a great research question
- Present a strong methods section
- Have a good project plan
- Understand the importance of equality, diversity and inclusion, patient and public involvement and research inclusion
- Manage intellectual property
- Show you have thought sensibly about dissemination and the impact of your work
