Reporting recruitment data relates to the number of participants consented into any research project. This information is recorded for two separate reasons:

  1. For safety monitoring purposes it is necessary for The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NuTH) to be aware of how many patients are taking part in different types of projects.
  2. Accurate recruitment data is required to ensure sufficient income can be obtained from the NIHR Comprehensive Local Research Network (CLRN) to support the delivery of these studies at NuTH.

Recruitment data for all projects should be uploaded to the Local Portfolio Management System (LPMS) locally called ReDA, on a weekly basis as a minimum.

You can read LPMS/ReDA training materials on our dedicated training page. If you have yet to receive training on the LPMS/ReDA, please contact the research informatics team by emailing nuth.research.informatics@nhs.net
